Welcome

Welcome to the St Anselm Hall Archive site.

Material and photos will uploaded onto this site every month so keep an eye out!

St Anselm Hall, known colloquially as Slems, is a traditional University of Manchester hall of residence situated in Victoria Park. We were founded in 1907 by Rev. Thomas B Allworthy on behalf of the Church of England and have been on our present site since 1914. The hall has an active Junior Common Room (constituting the student body of the hall), Senior Common Room (made up of the Warden, Tutors and university academics) and Alumni Association.

To find out more relating to the history of the hall explore our site using the menu above. For more information about the hall archive follow St Anselm Hall Archive on Twitter.

The Hall archive twitter is regularly updated by those who look after and organise the archive.
